Thanks to the generosity, commitment and energy of our members and friends PFLAG Jersey Shore accomplished the following in the year Oct 2006 - Sept 2007.

• Held monthly support meetings with speakers or programs on the odd numbered months.
• Responded to inquiries; 16 by telephone and 25-30 by e-mail.
• Participated in a coalition of interested groups and individuals seeking a means to provide support for GLBTQI youth.

• Presented the film "Straight from the Heart" followed by discussion, at the Ocean County Library, March 2007. This event was cosponsored by the Ocean County Human Relations Commission.
• Continued to distribute our contact information at events and in public spaces.
• Participated in a GLBT Mixer for teens at the Brick branch of the Ocean County Library, June 2006.
• Participated in Pride Day at Asbury Park
• Presented PFLAG information at a meeting the Ocean County Human Services 9/27/07.
• Participated in a Monmouth County Human Relations Commission anti-GLBT harassment workshop for Affirmative Action Officers in the public schools, 9/28/07.
• Provided financial support for a GLSEN sponsored presentation by Judy Shepherd.

• Joined Garden State Equality and other NJ groups to support same-sex marriage.
• Published an editorial about same-sex marriage.
• Wrote letters to Marlton school board in support of an embattled diversity curriculum.
• Wrote in support of a drama teacher's choice of the Laramie Project for a HS play.
• Partnered with the National Center for Transgender Equality to lobby NJ Rep. LoBiondo to support ENDA, via letter and phone call.
• Partnered with HRC to lobby Rep Saxton to support ENDA, by letters.

• Held two benefit "Coffeehouses", Oct 2006 and March 2007.
