Jersey Shore PFLAG is a community organization that provides support, education and advocacy for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) individuals and their family and friends in Monmouth and Ocean counties in New Jersey. Our main activity is hosting monthly support meetings that provide comfort, information and discussion about LGBT issues, and we also sponsor a number of other special events throughout the year. If you or someone you know if gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgender, please visit the Support Meetings page to find out more information about when and where we meet. We hope to see you soon!

Announcement – Rutgers Professor Dr. LaSala Invites You to Participate in a New Research Study About Safe Sex and HIV/AIDS
Dr. Michael LaSala from Rutgers University’s School of Social Work will soon be starting a new research study to determine what family communication helps (and what doesn’t help) young gay men avoid unsafe sex. He is looking for young gay males between the ages of 16 and 21 and their parent or parents to sit for individual and family interviews to be done either at your home or at an office at Rutgers. $100 will be given to each person who participates in the study.
If you are interested in being part of this important study, please contact Dr. LaSala either by email at mlasala@ssw.rutgers.edu or by phone at 732-910-9901.
Please take a moment to look at the information flyer for gay males and the flyer for parents.
